MARK WICKS WINS DEBUT SUPERKART RACE.
PHILLIP ISLAND
The 2004 World Rotax Masters Champion, Mark Wicks, has come out of retirement to win his debut Superkart race at Phillip Island. With 3 wins from 3 starts and fastest lap (and new lap record at 1:59.685), Wicks dominated the Heavy Division and was so fast he ran at the pointy end of the Light Division field all day.
Brad Stebbing had a good day with two 2nd's and a 4th to take second in the Light Division.
Of the other HyperRacer drivers, Patrick Atherton was very happy with a 4th overall in Heavy Division and Shaun Trounson finished 7th in Lights.
Reigning Champion, Dean Crooke, who had taken pole, had a shocker of a day with an overheating problem, only finishing 2 races.
