July 15th 2006 - Round 4 Phillip Island SHAUN TROUNSON'S DEBUT RACE
Phillip Island is a dauntingly fast circuit at the best of times, but in pouring rain, it focuses a drivers attention big time.
So, with Bass Straight invisible in the gloom and the track sheeted in water, rookie HyperRacer driver, Shaun Trounson, started his first race.
After six laps of non-stop 140-160 kph slides, you couldn't wipe the grin off his face.

Last race of the day - Shaun hits standing water at 160 kph and spins three times in front of the pits, before coming to rest against the wall in front of the starter. He's OK and rejoins the race.
